Formerly known as PROUD Detroit, Bright Point Rescue was launched in late 2018. While our name has changed, our mission is similar: turning dark pasts into bright futures for the dogs we serve.
On October 27, 2015, I lost my son, Tyler Bright. I stepped away from PROUD for an extended period of time following his death. In my absence, PROUD Detroit was beautifully managed by some of my most amazing volunteers.
Now that I'm personally back in the world of rescue, I wanted to relaunch with a new name to honor my son and the work we did together, which is the foundation of this organization.
Saving dogs is still our goal and we are still a 501(c)3 organization; all of your donations are tax deductible. You can watch the video below to see some of the work we have done and the transformations of some of our PROUD Detroit pups.
Thank you for supporting Bright Point Rescue!
